Leather Cleaning
Aniline, suede, and nubuck each demand a different touch — dedicated treatments matched to the material, applied entirely by hand, never by machine.
Not all leather is the same
A single machine-based process treats every leather the same way — and that's exactly the problem. Aniline leather is unprotected and absorbs whatever touches it. Suede and nubuck are napped surfaces that scar permanently under the wrong brush or too much moisture. Generic cleaning damages what it's meant to preserve.
Hand treatment, matched to the hide
Every piece is assessed before we touch it — leather type, finish, and condition determine the approach. No machines are used on the leather itself: soil is lifted and treatment applied entirely by hand, with specific vacuum brushes and hand-worked brushes suited to each surface.
Matched to the material
Aniline Leather
What's treated: Unprotected, undyed leather — furniture, seating, upholstered panels.
Process: Hand-applied cleaning solution formulated for aniline's absorbent surface, worked in gently by hand to lift soil without stripping natural oils or altering patina.
Suede
What's treated: Napped suede upholstery and furniture.
Process: Specific vacuum brushing lifts embedded dust and soil from the nap, followed by hand brushing to restore the grain direction and texture without flattening or matting the surface.
Nubuck
What's treated: Sanded, velvet-textured nubuck leather.
Process: Careful vacuum extraction of surface soil, then hand brush treatment with a nubuck-specific technique to lift stains while preserving the delicate nap.
Leather is a living material
It scars, absorbs, and wears differently than fabric. Machine pressure and generic solutions can permanently damage aniline, suede, and nubuck finishes.
Hand treatment lets us read the material as we work and adjust in real time — easing off where a nap is fragile, working longer where a hide will take it. That judgement is the part no machine can supply.
